Return & Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Indian Ocean Fisherman.

Because we sell food products (dry fish and seafood items), we maintain strict hygiene and safety standards. For this reason, we currently do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has been shipped or delivered.

1. No Returns

All products sold on our store are non-returnable and non-exchangeable due to food safety and quality reasons. Once an order is placed and shipped, it cannot be returned.

2. Damaged or Incorrect Products

If you receive a product that is:

  • Damaged during delivery
  • Incorrect item delivered
  • Missing items in your order

Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with:

  • Your Order ID
  • Clear photos of the product and package

After verification, we may offer a replacement or suitable resolution.

3. Delivery Attempts

Our courier partners will attempt delivery to the address provided during checkout.

If the customer is unavailable at the time of delivery, the courier service may:

  • Attempt delivery again, or
  • Hold the parcel at the nearest courier office for pickup.

If the parcel cannot be delivered after multiple attempts, it may be returned to us by the courier service.

4. Undelivered / Returned Orders

If an order is returned to us due to:

  • Customer not available
  • Incorrect shipping address
  • Customer refusing delivery

The order cannot be refunded, as the products are perishable food items.

Due to the perishable nature of our products, orders that are returned to us by the courier because of failed delivery attempts cannot be re-shipped or refunded.

5. Order Cancellation

Orders can only be cancelled before they are shipped. Once the order has been dispatched, cancellation is not possible.
